Thanks to your support, EXP has helped more than 20,000 high school youth overcome personal and economic challenges to achieve success in school, career and life. To watch our young alumni like Magali enter the world of work armed with strong skills and deep confidence, makes us proud. Together, we are shaping tomorrow’s workforce.

However, today we are facing extraordinary challenges to continue the mission we have been delivering proudly for the past 20 years. Now, with our schools closed and our students sheltering at home, many of you have asked how you can help EXP continue its life-changing work.

TODAY, the students need your support more than ever.

So many of our students’ circumstances are heartbreaking. The economic devastation of today’s COVID-19 health crisis is particularly acute among families with financial hardship in our local communities. Last week we received an email from one of our 11th grade students asking for help finding a job right now so that she can support her parents, both of whom had been laid off from work.

Students look to EXP for career guidance, resources and training to help them achieve a brighter tomorrow. Thanks to your past generosity, you’ve given them hope and helped equip them to thrive. Thanks to your past support, in recent weeks EXP was able to swiftly innovate to put our signature career readiness workshops and industry guest speaker series online to keep our students on track while sheltering at home. We have also opened our workshops to alumni and family members. Our next task is building out virtual internships and job shadow days to preserve the promise of our summer internship program, which has been threatened by this pandemic.
